A SYMPHONY OF STYLE AND PERFORMANCE

DESIGN, FUN, PERFORMANCE.

DESIGN, FUN, PERFORMANCE.

The new Grand Soleil 40 has all the credentials to replicate the great success of the GS 44, winner of the last ORC World Championship. While maintaining the feeling of style, elegance and safety seen throughout the range. A fast and responsive boat that reflects its sporting personality in the performance on the water. Grand Soleil 40 will be presented in an exclusive World Première during Cannes Yachting Festival 2022.

The hull lines are an evolution of the concepts studied for the GS 44, giving maximum attention to the balance of volume as the heel increases. The bow profile remains very fine to maintain good performance in light airs and ensure a smooth passage through the waves. As on the GS 44, great importance was placed on the aft positioning of the shaft, enabling Nauta Design to develop an innovative layout and obtaining a benefit on both performance and comfort.

RELAXATION AND PERFORMANCE, 40 FEET OF GRAND SOLEIL DNA

Designed by Matteo Polli, the hull's design is an evolution of the winning concepts behind the GS44. The careful balancing of volumes as heeling increases ensures superior form stability and a consistently optimal wetted surface, translating into high average speeds and remarkably tight upwind angles. The sharp, slender bow entries guarantee a smooth passage through the waves and minimal resistance in light airs. The deck lines, developed in partnership with Nauta Design, express a clean, essential and sporty aesthetic: a sleek profile where design serves performance directly.

40 FEET OF GRAND SOLEIL's DNA

The decidedly aft mast placement optimizes the sail plan, creating a wider "J" and a more powerful and efficient sail area. The result is superior acceleration and precise, responsive helm feel. The infusion construction with advanced composites ensures exceptional structural rigidity: every gust of wind translates directly into pure speed. The deck of the Performance version, optimized with 4 winches, a standard self-tacking jib, and German mainsheet system, allows for intuitive and safe handling even with a reduced crew.

HIGH QUALITY FINISHES AND TIMELESS DESIGN

Belowdecks, the GS40 reveals its second soul. Designed by Nauta Design, the interiors express a luxurious freshness where comfort never compromises the yacht's sporting vocation. Spacious, practical and efficient layouts are conceived to be enjoyed in cruising mode and navigated with agility during races. Lightweight materials and refined craftsmanship maximise liveability without adding weight to the hull. The standard version offers three cabins, one head and a dedicated technical compartment for stowage; the optional layout features three cabins and two heads. The wide central passageway facilitates rapid sail stowage during regattas.
