Born to win" is not a slogan but a fact engraved in the Grand Soleil 44's track record: four consecutive ORC World Championship titles. A 44-footer that has redefined the balance between pure speed and comfort, the result of a design challenge won by Cantiere del Pardo. The naval architecture is signed by Matteo Polli, the "ORC wizard," while the exterior lines and interiors bear the signature of Nauta Design. The GS44 is the perfect synthesis of the Grand Soleil DNA: absolute performance, Italian elegance, and the liveability of a true yacht.
COMPETE AT THE BEST: RACE LAYOUT
The Race version is pure racing spirit. In addition to the standard 2.60 m keel, two dedicated configurations are available: a shorter 2.40 m version for ORC racing and a deeper 2.80 m version for IRC racing, both offering top-level performance. The deck is equipped with six winches — two at the helm, two on the side decks and two on the coachroof — giving the entire crew full control over manoeuvres and a decisive advantage when racing.
Below deck, the Grand Soleil 44 dispels every preconception about sporty yachts: an environment worthy of a true luxury yacht, bright and surprisingly spacious. Nauta Design's signature is evident in the choice of materials, the care given to the finishes, and the natural light that pours in through the generous hull and coachroof windows. The layout features three cabins and two heads, both with separate shower stalls — a rarity on a 44-footer in this category. The living area welcomes guests with an L-shaped galley, a U-shaped sofa seating eight, and a second side sofa. The Performance version integrates overhead lockers for stowage worthy of a true cruiser.
