experience the long sailing adventure

The naval architecture by Marco Lostuzzi stems from a perfect balance between powerful volumes and sleek waterlines. The hull’s generous beam ensures high form stability, translating into a dry and safe ride, while a well-proportioned sail plan preserves the signature responsiveness of every Grand Soleil.

The exterior design, curated by Nauta Design in collaboration with the shipyard’s technical office, expresses an essential and timeless elegance. Every detail is drawn with the sea in mind: the carbon bowsprit, the large windows integrated into the coachroof, and the balanced proportions of the profile define a yacht where beauty and function seamlessly coincide.

rollbar version

The version featuring a carbon rollbar is designed for those who desire a clear, functional deck layout. By clearing all running rigging from the cockpit, it transforms the aft area into a spacious terrace on the sea, ideal for relaxing at anchor. The rollbar also serves as an integrated support for the bimini and sprayhood, significantly enhancing onboard livability, safety, and protection.

PERFORMANCE AND STABLE SHAPES

Sailing aboard the Grand Soleil 42 LC means combining the pleasure of performance with the comfort of long-distance passages. The stable, balanced hull achieves high cruising speeds with remarkable ease and responds to the helm with precision, even in rough seas.

Deck ergonomics are meticulously optimized for short-handed crew management: all lines are led back to the helm stations, the two winches per side (with electric options available) are within easy reach, and the standard self-tacking jib simplifies every tack. Available either with the carbon rollbar or in a sporty open-transom configuration, the GS42LC transforms every passage into an experience of total control, safety, and pure helming pleasure.
