GRAND SOLEIL TAKES CENTER STAGE IN ARGENTARIO
 WITH A RECORD-BREAKING WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP

The 49th edition of the Cala Galera Winter Championship has just come to a close, set against the stunning backdrop of Monte Argentario, once again confirming its status as one of the most competitive and well-attended events of the sailing season.

This year, the Grand Soleil fleet once again delivered outstanding results, showcasing the consistent high performance that has long defined the Performance range on racecourses.
Stealing the spotlight was the Grand Soleil 40 Yankee R, owned by Pierfrancesco Costagliola and Enrico De Crescenzo, which dominated with remarkable consistency across every race weekend, ultimately securing 2nd place in the overall ORC standings.

An excellent performance also came from the Grand Soleil 44 Quizas, owned by Fabio Navarra and Simona Zirano, which claimed 1st place in the ORC 1 category. Close behind was the Grand Soleil 44 Wall-E, owned by Francesco Marsella, taking 2nd place in the same category—further confirming a podium once again strongly marked by Grand Soleil.

Impeccably organized by CNVA, the event saw numerous crews competing from November through March in the beautiful waters of Argentario, with precise and passionate race management also entrusted to Francesco Marsella, owner of Wall-E and a member of the hosting yacht club.
A collective achievement that reaffirms the brand’s racing spirit and the strong bond between Grand Soleil, its owners, and their crews—key players in a winter season of the highest level.
