THE GRAND SOLEIL 42 LONG CRUISE
Designed for the “Blue Water” world, the Long Cruise range offers exceptional comfort and a delightful onboard experience, without compromising on performance and safety. The spacious volumes ensure a high level of comfort, while maintaining top-notch safety standards. The Grand Soleil 42 Long Cruise is available in two versions: one with a classic rollbar to maximize the deck space for living, and a sportier version without a rollbar or aft benches.
experience the long sailing adventure
The Grand Soleil 42 Long Cruise is a product of collaboration between naval architect Marco Lostuzzi, Nauta Design for the interiors and exteriors, and the technical department of Cantiere del Pardo. This yacht redefines long distance sailing with its exceptional comfort, spacious onboard areas, and remarkable autonomy in navigation. These are the defining features that set this vessel apart from the rest.
PERFORMANCE AND STABLE SHAPES
Thanks to its increased hull volume, the Grand Soleil 42 Long Cruise offers exceptional stability. The well-proportioned sail plan maximizes high-performance sailing standards, ensuring an unforgettable sailing experience. Like the rest of the Long Cruise range, the Grand Soleil 42 Long Cruise is designed to offer unparalleled comfort and luxury on board, providing an extraordinary yachting experience.
All maneuvering are arranged below deck at the helmsman’s station, where it is possible to choose whether or not to have dedicated seating. When dedicated seats are present, a natural storage space is also created. The two winches on each side (electric as an option) positioned near the two helm wheels make long sailing trips easy and pleasant, even with a smaller crew. Maneuvering is also simplified by the furling mainsail in the mast (opt) and the self-tacking jib with hanging rail (std). The carbon rollbar, when present, frees the large cockpit from clutter, leaving space for complete relaxation and also acts as a support for the bimini and sprayhood.
rollbar version
The Grand Soleil 42 Long Cruise is also available in the version with carbon rollbar, designed for those who want a blanket that is as free and functional as possible. The rollbar allows you to clear the cockpit of all maneuvers, improving liveability and safety, and acts as a support for biminis and sprayhoods, transforming the external area into a space dedicated to total relaxation.
STYLISH DESIGN TRAITS
LAYOUT 2 CABINS
Below deck, every detail is designed to ensure the highest level of comfort worthy of a true Long Cruise yacht. The large hull windows give the interiors a bright and airy atmosphere. The attention to detail and the well-planned layout create the perfect setting for extended cruising. On the starboard side, the saloon features a three-seater sofa, with the central seat convertible into a chart table. The galley is fully equipped to provide maximum comfort and generous storage space.
The owner’s cabin has been designed to offer optimal storage capacity, with three lockers, two drawers under the bed, shelves and bookcases along the sides, and a large wardrobe.
The Grand Soleil 42 Long Cruise offers two interior layouts to suit different needs on board. In the two-cabin version (opt.) shown here, the starboard aft cabin is fitted with two single V-shaped berths. In the 2-cabin layout, the galley is more spacious and offers increased storage capacity, thanks to the absence of the second aft cabin featured in the 3-cabin configuration.
